Kenzoku Mazesoba Reviews

Food was amazing! I highly recommend coming to this business, as their options are wide and diverse. My favorite dish on the menu was the mentaiko cream mazesoba. Everything in the bowl was fresh and delectable. The service was also good. Interior vibes were comforting. If you're in the Boston area looking for good Japanese food, this is definitely a spot you should try!

We got tan tan, mentaiko cream, and shoyu mazesoba. Noodles had a great chewiness and each bowl was very flavorful. My pork chashu was well seasoned and so tender. This is comparable to Kajiken, a mazesoba chain from Japan. Decent amount of seating for small to medium size groups. No issues with service.

The noodles were so chewy and the quantity is great too. Definitely felt full after and the taste was also pretty good and expected! The server recommended the matcha latte and boy it was GOOD. Definitely more sweet than I like it but the matcha tasted rich so it was worth the sweetness. I would come back again because the service was great and the place was clean and spacious!

So glad I tried this place out!! I am not a big ramen person but mazesoba hits different! I don't think you can find anything similar in Boston: think thick ramen noodles in a savory umami sauce with lots of hearty toppings. I got the Tan Tan and the hamachi torch roll. Both were so delicious. A little pricey in my opinion for the level of service (nice but not super attentive or anything to write home about). Portion sizes are decent but not big enough for leftovers. Just for myself I spent over $40 after tax and tip and didn't have leftovers. I will definitely be back as a treat!

Really good mazesoba chewy noodles great mixture of sour savory would recommend reasonably priced too

Such a hidden gem! I went there with a party of 6 and while they don't take reservations, the wait was only 10 minutes and the host asked to take out order before sitting us so we have less of a wait time after seating. The ambience is probably better for a smaller party as the store is quite small, but very doable if you have a medium sized party and is willing to wait. Overall very lively and can be a bit noisy, but perfect for small talks. We each ordered a noodle dish and everyone loved it! I had the Thai spicy mazesoba and it's such a unique experience with a mix of spicy, sourness, and flavor with the rich base. I'd recommend for any noodle lover looking for a new place to check out!

I do not know if this is a frequent issue but the ventilation was terrible when I stopped by for an early dinner. The entire restaurant had a heavy smell of burnt oil that ended up sticking to my hair and clothes even though I did not stay for a very long time. The food itself is good and I appreciated how quickly the orders come out. I tried their tan tan mazesoba ($18) which is packed full of aromatics. The noodles themselves were quite filling so I almost did not ask for the extra rice at the end! I was glad I got the rice anyway because they do not give very much so the portion was manageable. The rice soaked up the soft egg, minced pork, and other toppings that were left in the bowl after I finished all of the noodles. My partner got the shoyu mazesoba. Even though there were a lot of ingredient/topping overlaps to the tan tan mazesoba, both had very distinct flavors.

This is one of my favorite places to go in Boston and a place I recommend to friends that come to visit. I always get the Mentaiko Cream Mazesoba and should probably try other things on the menu, but am usually always craving this one. They also make a delicious matcha latte which is only an additional $2 with an order of noodles. The service is always quick and there's usually only a little bit of a wait to get seated. If you finish your bowl of noodles and still have sauce leftover, you can also ask for a free bowl of rice.

Kenzoku Mazesoba gives you a refreshing taste. The service was so-so, even though the price was not busy; it gets even slower when there is a line at the door. - Pink Lady $16.00 Crab salad, Avocado inside w/ torch salmon, scallions, spicy mayo, sweet sauce, and tobiko on top. - Shoyu Mazesoba $19.00 Spicy minced pork, scallion, mixed green, chive, minced garlic, sesame seeds, poached egg. - Yuzu Shio $20.00 Slow-braised pork chashu, scallion, mixed greens, onion, minced garlic, sesame seeds, poached egg. Flavorful. Breaking the poached egg to mix all the ingredients in the bowl together, and with added vinegar, it just became more flavorful. You get a free bowl of rice to soak up the sauce, which I did not try since I was planning to go somewhere else for a second round.

The citrusy flavor of the yuzu shio was really good, and the service was excellent on my return visit a few weeks later. The restaurant also has good seating. I would definitely come back to try another dish
